Welcome to my little corner of Propeller. I am also available as davidnwpa09 on Twitter.com. I have many followers on Propeller whom I call friends. For those of you who are friends, thank you for all your support of the stories I post. I have returned to the classroom, and now find myself with less time to submit articles and post comments. I will continue to fight homophobia wherever I read about it, and stand wholeheartedly against ideologies which divide rather than build our nation. My many thanks and gratitude to all who have sent me notes, kind words, e-mail messages and posts during my time of illness. The surgery was a resounding success and came at a good time. It turns out the cancer had spread further than was realized, and many of the lymph nodes around my chest were cancerous. Although the surgery was extensive, I am home from the hospital, healing, and going back to work on Monday. Happy reading to all,

David, I know how you feel. My wife had her thyroid removed and just had her dose of radioactive iodine 2 days ago. She is doing well. It is definitely life changing, but the treatments and operation have a high success rate. I hope that all goes well for you.
