On the eve of the eight year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, an FBI informant who infiltrated alleged terrorist cells in the U.S. tells ABC News the FBI missed a chance to stop the al Qaeda plot because they focused more on undercover stings than on the man who would later become known as 9/11 ringleader Mohammed Atta.

Assaad, who posed as "Mohammed" – a personal representative of Osama bin Laden, says he's a "million percent positive" the 9/11 attacks could have been stopped if the FBI had gone after Atta and Shukrujumah. But because Atta and his men were suspicious of the FBI undercover operative, and secretive, Assaad says his FBI agent handlers sent him after the easier target – two wannabe terrorists whose cases were easy to crack and who were both eventually convicted and sent to prison.
"I was right, I was a hundred percent right," Assaad says of his suspicions. He says that when he learned that Atta was one of the 9/11 hijackers, when the FBI asked if he could identify any of the attackers, he was "very upset, angry" and cried.-

What this story ignores was the fact that our different intelligence agencies had all the clues but the Clinton administration had erected firewalls between them. They could not share the information. That is part of what the 9/11 commission found. So if the FBI had had access to the other information they would have probably acted.

Except Bush was warned several times and he did NOTHING. He relegated Richard Clark who begged to see him, to a minimal office. Clark had been a senior security advisor to Reagan, Daddy Bush, and Clinton but Junior shunted him aside. On top of that, during the Clinton/Bush transition, the Clinton team warned Bush that Al Qaeda would be his biggest worry. BUSH DID NOTHING! LESS than nothing! Bush needed an excuse for a war and he got just what he wanted!

Not ALL US governments.
Special mention must be made to the Bushies who's head of the DOJ, Ashcroft gave highest importance to clothing the statues at the DOJ rather than protecting America.
Clinton had only recently stopped an attack on Seattle and left a large folder delineating the threat of Al Qaeda.
Remember?
"Ms. Rice, what was the title of the report prepared for you by the FBI?"
OH YOU MEAN AL QAEDA PREPARING TO HIJACK AMERICAN COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT AND ATTACK AMERICAN CITIES? -

Attack could have been prevented if CIA and Mosad did not plant the bombs but with the help of Bush and Cheney they let the bombs go off and the building collapsed and 2700 innocent people died and the blame goes to Al Qaeda so that Iraq and Afghanistan could be invaded to protect the American economy. Bush is a megalomaniac his colleagues are criminals and they introduced international thuggery by changing regimes and invading. The result is the American people are paying for it now and the world is struggling.

Still insisting that bin Laden is CIA and Mosad?
lol They probably pose as Sunnis killing Shiites on their way to Pilgrimage also.
That's America blaming poor Al Qaeda for doing what they CLAIMED they did.

That foolishness has been disproved many times. If you watch the film of what happened there was NO EXPLOSION. So are you trying to say that the explosives were inward only? Special shaped charges?

What kind of kool aid have you been drinking. The fire of an office burning is hot enough to melt steel. There are web sites that firefighters use that has how hot different fires burn. Go and look it up. -

Hey Daylight, I have a friend at the Mossad who would like to talk to you. How about visiting him in Israel. They have a nice room for you at the Rimonim Bet Resorts....

As to Israel, why do you pencil neck morons always blame the Jews for all of your problems. Your religion of peace is based upon the rantings of a child molesting pedophile who coined the phrase, convert or die. Then you couldn't make peace within your own ranks so for the next 800 or so years you've been killing each other. Now you've decided to involve everyone.
I've defended people's rights to free speech. If you feel one way or another, you have the right to say it. However, when it's a lie perpetuated by hate, then it's time for you to be quiet. Even PBS has very clearly explained why the towers fell, they were never designed to handle the plane strikes and resulting fire. I understand your mind has been destroyed by the rantings of your mullah in the mosques but if PBS can prove it wasn't an explosion cause by secret agents of Mossad and Bush, then it's probably true. The other issue, our government can't keep a secret for crap. We value an open government but some secrets should be secret. National Security stuff is my concern. In this case, there would have been hundreds involved, all acting with the idea of a book deal. There's no way it could have been pulled off.
Oh, and for your next lie about no Jews in the towers, that's another lie. Every nation was represented in the dead on 9-11. So stop the lies, simply understand there are goofy Muslims willing to kill innocent people. I don't understand people like that, I don't understand where they continue to think killing innocents are a part of the Koran. It's clear they've never actually read the dumb book of the profit. Oh I mean prophet.

Frankly both the FBI and the CIA are dysfunctional because they have been meddled with too much by politicians - to cover up treason (e.g. Wolfowitz, Feith, and other zioncons caught by the FBI already in the 1970s-1980s, but never tried because of political pressure), corruption (e.g. Hastert, Blunt, Burton, Lantos, .... - see below), or for propaganda purposes (e.g. producing state propaganda for corrupt wars like Bush/Cheney).

FBI Whistleblower: Hastert, Burton, Blunt, Other Members of Congress \'Bribed, Blackmailed\'
It has now been over a week since the video tape and transcript from the remarkable 8/8/09 deposition of former FBI translator-turned-whistleblower Sibel Edmonds was publicly released. Previously, the Bush Administration invoked the so-called "state secrets privilege" in order to gag Edmonds, in attempting to keep such information from becoming public.
The under-oath, detailed allegations include bribery, blackmail, espionage and infiltration of the U.S. government of, and by current and former members of the U.S. Congress, high-ranking State and Defense Department officials and agents of the government of Turkey. The broad criminal conspiracy is said to have resulted in, among other things, the sale of nuclear weapons technology to black market interests including Pakistan, Iran, North Korea, Libya and others.
Even as many of these allegations had been previously corroborated to varying extents, by a number of official government reports, documents and independent media outlets (largely overseas), not a single major mainstream media outlet in the U.S. has picked up on Edmonds' startling claims since her deposition has been made fully available.
...In this first break-down article, we'll look at the answers given by Edmonds during her deposition in regard to bribery and blackmail of current and former members of the U.S. Congress, including....

Agent: FBI Could Have Prevented 9-11
Reply
Wes Vernon, NewsMax.com
Friday, May 31, 2002
WASHINGTON – A veteran FBI agent Thursday charged that corruption inside the bureau derailed investigations that could have averted the terrorist attacks on America on Sept. 11. His lawyers said the FBI had evidence that the World Trade Center was a possible terrorist target.
In a memo written 91 days before Sept. 11, Special Agent Robert G. Wright Jr. warned that Americans would die as a result of the FBI's failure to investigate terrorists living in this country.
Wright went public at a press conference even though FBI Director Robert Mueller ordered him to stay in Chicago and threatened him with criminal prosecution if he spoke publicly about the agency's wrongdoing.
"The FBI is not protecting the American people," declared Wright at a conference sponsored by his attorneys at the public interest law firm Judicial Watch.
Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman termed Mueller’s comments Wednesday, that open criticism of him and other top FBI brass was welcome, were nothing more than "politically convenient statements." -

'They Got Caught'

"They said that because they got caught with their hands in the cookie jar," declared Klayman, referring to a memo written by FBI legal counsel Coleen Rowley. She alleged in a memo that the FBI could have prevented the 9-11 attacks and that Mueller, though new to the job, has covered up for senior FBI officials.
Klayman said Mueller’s reorganization plan announced this week was nothing more than "icing over a stale cake."
Wright produced a sworn statement relating to an FBI agent who refused to record a telephone conversation during the meeting with a suspect in an FBI criminal investigation related to terrorism.
Muslim Agent 'Does Not Record Another Muslim'!
The agent in question is quoted in two sworn statements, one by Wright and the other by retired agent Barry Carmody, as refusing to record the conversation because "a Muslim does not record another Muslim." -
