Bachmann-Teabag Overdrive Features Holocaust 'Health Care' Protest Photo/Banner »
Posted By jovial 2 weeks, 3 days ago in Political NewsCongresswoman Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) called in the tea baggers to the Capitol in D.C. today for an "emergency house call" (that's great video!) in hopes of killing health care reform legislation. She was joined by dozens of fellow wingnut lawmakers who spoke to the disinformed crowd, promising "not a single Republican vote" for the bill before things turned strange later on.

That these idiotic Republicans would use the horrific images from Dachau is not only inappropriate, it is highly offensive and ugly.
Reply
It trivializes the true horror and suffering of those 6 million victims and the pain and torture the survivors had to endure.
These Republicans have every right to disagree and want to deprive 46 million Americans of their health care coverage. This is the realm of politics and budgetary debates. Let's have at it and engage in healthy disagreement.
But to abuse further the Dachau victims is plain sickening and sick. -

You all will love this.

6 House Republicans attended Michelle's little "protest" instead of attending a committee meeting where a renewal of the Homeland Security law was being considered.
Since those Republicans skipped that meeting, ALL of their Amendments to that bill were voted down and the bill has now left the committee.
Also - while the crowd was supposedly decrying any government interference in their health care, 5 of those people had to receive medical assistance - one person had a heart attack.
Who came to their aid? GOVERNMENT medics.
The irony is astounding ... -

She's really crossed a huge line.

I wish the people in her district would vote her out. She's a media *****. WHAT exactly has she done that's been good for MN? WHAT? Besides make most Americans that have a brain think Minnesotans are crazy for electing her twice. -

I want to add that in class last night I met a couple that survived the Holocaust or Shoah. The irony isn't lost on me.

The wife wasn't in a concentration camp. In that her family was 'lucky.' However because she could speak Hebrew, Russian, German and Polish she was a translator.
Her husband survived Buchenwald. They met and married here in Maplewood MN through his cousins.
Michelle is no Christian. If she was she wouldn't have done this. Politican or not there still has be LINES you don't cross ever. EVER.
That's okay I hope she keeps doing stuff like this and maybe for her third run she won't be reelected. -

These Teabaggers should just be ignored. They are ignorant, uninformed and small in numbers. They have nothing credible to say and most probably don't even bother to vote.Let FOX try to make a crowd of four or five thousand into a million on their own.

Bachmann was on FOX News several days ago, calling all 'patriotic' Americans to converge on D.C. on Thursday. Then after the rally she is on FOX News claiming that she did not 'organize' or plan anything or put out any 'call' for people to attend her rally.

At the event, after stating to the crowd that the Pledge of Allegiance "drives liberals crazy", a Republican Congressman led the pledge and messed it up.
Then Boehner proceeded to hold up a copy of the Constitution and tell everyone that it says "we hold these truths to be self-evident ..." - problem is, that is NOT in the Constitution (how about the Declaration of Independence, maybe?).
(Gotta love the irony there ...)
People are holding a sign that says "Obama and his Marxist buddies are after your freedom", and another sign compares a "Democratic" version of health care reform to the Jewish Holocaust of WW II.
NO one should defend those signs. No one.
The decidedly conservative 'groups' Americans For Prosperity and FreedomWorks helped coordinate the "grassroots" rally. They mobilized about 40 buses to bring 'activists' to DC, with their staffers standing at their designated bus drop off points handing out signs, directions, talking points, petitions, and donuts to protesters.
Those "rallyers" have been persuaded to believe things that are totally NOT true with NO basis in fact - persuaded by the extremist Republicans and their talk-show pundits and their rich conservative 'groups' who continually push fear and hate and LIES at their listeners about everything Obama and Democrat.
THAT is a tragedy and an injustice to those people and to the rest of this country. -

When you see ignorance like this you should stand up for your second amendment rights, because these people are nut's and with that comes the danger that the mentally unstabe are capable of..Who ever is behind all of this crap knows that they are pushing for a violent reaction and sooner or later they will get it...Why do they want that ? What do they have in mind ? These people are fast going past reasonable protest into an area that is provoking people to commit crimes..maybe they are hoping for an OHIO ?
