Math Is Hard: GOP Over-Inflates Audience Participation At Bachman's Teabaggery | Crooks and Liars »

Today’s anti-health care reform rally has been much more sparsely attended (than the 9/12 protests, but) that hasn’t stopped conservatives from inflating the numbers again. On G. Gordon Liddy’s radio show (Thursday), producer Franklin Raff, who was on the ground at the rally, told guest host Joseph Farah that the crowd is “just as big or bigger than” the 9/12 rally, which Raff estimated “at about a million.”

Dana Milbank in today's Washington Post estimated the number at about 5,000.

with 72 hrs notice how many people do you think you can get there?

Give it a try. it's not as easy as you would have believed. Well not unless you are talking about that top of the line AstroTurf the left has become accustomed too. You know that good union made stuff.

It's not the number of people there that is the problem, it's that the GOP is so willing to lie about it on such an epic scale. Forget holding yourselves to a higher standard, I'd be happy with any standard whatsoever.

Funny, the real count was between 25 to 50,ooo. It might pay to do some research before posting stupid comments.

Just like the 9/12 rally in Washington, you liberals said 75,000 while a study from the University in Indiana proves the count was between 1.8 and 2 million. The largest crowd ever at the White House in history.

This kind of dishonesty is disgusting. Bachmann and other said DURING THE EVENT the crowd was 20-45 thousand. They never once inflated the numbers. Liberal zealots did so you could try to marginalize them.

The story you link to uses MSNBC as a source and somehow you think that's credible? The picture they use doesn't state the time of the photograph or the peak times of the protest. Yet you'll swallow whatever left wing propaganda is fed to you.

Just because one person on a radio show said something doesn't mean "the GOP inflated the numbers". This is why thi site is a sewer. It spreads nothing but left wing filth. I have yet to read a story on here that didn't source HuffPo, DailyKos, MSNBC, or NYT.

    Pathetic.

FOX says that thousands showed up for Tea Partys all over the country. The event in Tacoma Washington was held in the parking lot of a Doughnut shop. When I drove by I thought the Teabaggers were those people who carry signs advertising mattress sales.I didn't realize what it was until I saw it on the local news.I have seen bigger crowds for pet spaying events.I don't know why they are even covered.I attend charitable events that draw more people and don't get promoted by cable news channels. I have noticed that fringe groups always have to remind people how popular they are.

Out of curiosity, Friday morning I tried to find a reputable attendance figure for Thursdays mass teabagging. A figure of 3000 by a local DC tv station was the best I could come up with. Another dismal failure. Stick a fork in their teabag, they're done.

As pointed out on MSNBC, at least five people were treated and one persons life was saved by on scene government health care workers. Will those fortunate fools change their stance on government health care? Not a chance.
